FileMaker DevCon 2012 Registration Now Open

Registration for the FileMaker Developer Conference 2012 is now open. DevCon is the premier worldwide gathering for corporate and independent FileMaker database developers. FileMaker user groups make learning social

The FileMaker South West Users group, hosted by Nick Stockbridge at the Transmedia Training offices in Bristol, is going from strength to strength. "Maybe people have heard how helpful the group is to one another", says Nick. "We alternate between specific topic demonstrations, such as creating a universal 'Back' navigation between layouts, and free-for-all sessions, where members bring in their projects to ask for assistance from others. There's always someone with a good idea to share and we have room for more".

Using the Web Viewer as a “Field” in FileMaker Go

I was recently asked if there was a way to make a field to be both non-editable and scrollable in FileMaker Go. The field in question would possibly contain large amounts of text and they wanted to know if they could suppress the the virtual keyboard from popping up.
